Down & Derby Jan 26th

You ain’t nothing but a hound dog, skating all the time! On Saturday January 26th I hope you come to Belvederes and skate all night for Down & Derby’s “blue suede skate”, a tribute to the king of rock.

In the summer we pay tribute to the King of Pop (MJ dummy) so it’s only fitting that we do the same for the King of rock! January is the perfect month for one piece jumpsuits bedazzled in Rhinestones coupled with sideburns and aviators.

Expect the usual tunes to make your booty clap but be prepared to gyrate your hips like you are on the Ed Sullivan show when you hear all shook up!

So don’t be cruel or you’ll find yourself lonesome tonight if you don’t RSVP for theJailhouse rock that will ensue Saturday January 26th!

Down & Derby Turkey Shoot – 11/24 @ Belvederes

Wednesday is the year’s biggest drinking day. Then we hit Thanksgiving Thursday, Black Friday and Down & Derby Saturday. Your week is full like your belly after that big ole’ turkey! Shed those lbs. with an all liquid diet this Saturday @ Belvederes!

DOWN & DERBY ROLLER DISCO 

**6yr ANNIVERSARY**

The national roller skating outfit that has been converting clubs into roller rinks in Philly, New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Coachella, Las Vegas, and even the Playboy Mansion, will now host Its monthly production at Belvederes on Saturday, May 26TH, marking our 6yr anniversary!

To commemorate this joyous occasion the Down & Derby Roller Disco will be hosting its annual roller limbo contest, featuring local music selectors SMI & JX4 with tons of giveaway goodies for those who come out early. Our early guests will be treated to “first beer on us”, courtesy of Iron City who will buy out guests their first drink of the night. On top of the free booze guests may even walk away with a CapSac orWingbandit. CapSacs are hats that have a fanny pack on them. Wingbandits are sweatbands with wings on them. Or guests might walk away with a “I skate PGH” T-shirt to remember their night.

Do you like to drink and dance? [i do] But here's a better question.. do you like to drink and skate? I know it sounds like a deadly combination but I have to assure you that it's probably the most fun you can have on 2 feet. Maybe your Jewish, maybe your Muslim, maybe you cant take your family for more than an hour at a time, or maybe you think that xmas is a holiday crafted by retailers to further perpetuate a consumerism society!

All are good reasons to join us on Satuday December 25th to finish the year out right and "roll" into 2011. Join DJ Hank D and Professor Purple bringing you all the best disco hits to skate, drink and dance to all night long!! If you like to mix it up you should definitely roll threw Beleveders.
