With his 3rd project under his belt it's safe to say Tru is really coming to know himself as an artist and is perfecting his sound. The Enlightenment has all original production from P. Fish, Vaguz Nerve, Jinx Beatz, Aus10, V Kush, Craze, Funk Volume, Grizzlybeatz and Quaidbeatz. Also gracing the tape are JKJ, Palermo Stone, Crystal Seth, Charlie Slum and Leo Xan. It's safe to say this is some of his best work to date and it's only heading up from here so get down with TRU CRU early and show your friends! All the tracks are dope by my personal favorites are Spare Change, Last Dace, Last Words and After All. Lemme know yours!
Dominant Force & Timebomb present SMOKEBREAK: Back in 100 Minutes (Mixed by MR. OWL) Pittsburgh's MR. OWL created THE underground hip-hop mixtape for all you stoners and weed-heads as the soundtrack to your high holiday of 4/20 – hey, you might even learn something between bong rips. 74 tracks blended into a 100-minute groove and over 120 artists represented, with a healthy majority of them from either the Pittsburgh or Soundcloud underground scenes. TIMEBOMB is putting out this mixtape… need I say anything more? If you cop it the moment it drops and throw it on repeat, you could bump it 14 times before the day is over! Mastered by Sayez

Before we get to the video I have a few things to say. 1. If you don't already know these two emcee's (yea I said emcee's, they're more than just rappers with a bad spittin habit) you need to get familiar. 2. I've asked the question and tried to have friendly debates time and time again for best rhyme scheme in the Burgh. There's a ton of talented dudes in Pittsburgh but I think when it really comes down to some hiphop shit Ghosty definitely is in the top 3 for rhyme schemes and all around hiphop understanding but Shad Ali really gave him a run for his money on this track. Shad is quickly becoming one of my favorite artist and the ghosted one has been for a minute so it's dope to catch them on the same track (You can also hear them together on Vills track Royalty). I'm also a dude that loves visuals and Ghosty hasn't had many of recent. The last one I can think of off the top is Southside slopes with Crystal Seth and before that the triple E's ANtuKS cypher and Keep It Thoro 11'. If you pay any sorta attention to Keep It Thoro you can catch Shad with Ghost through out the video. I'm really just mindlessly babble-typing right now because it's 4 am and I'm so delusional off lack of sleep that my eyes are on Forest Whitaker so to make it simple here's the video. Beat produced by Baka. Also keep an eye out for All For The Love coming in May from Shad and New Rhyme Cinema coming soon from Ghosty.
Yury's back with his second project "Self Improvement". S.I. is equipped with 15 tracks of dopeness which features an allstar cast of production. You will find Yury's name in the producers credit for 8 of the 15 tracks; along side names such as Big Jerm, Will Brown, Jay Card, and Black Diamond. This is leagues above the first tape which is saying a lot.

If you're reading this then chances are you're a Mac Miller fan; if you're not a fan I'm sure you're aware of him and what he does. The thing to me that makes Mac really stand out from other artist and rappers is not only his love for where he's from (For his last mixtape, Macadelic, he through a release party at Pittsburgh Hip-hop hot spot Shadow Lounge) but also that he's brought his people along with him. Right now he is on his Macadelic tour (get tickets here) and for the second tour in a row he has brought with him Pittsburgh Hip-hop duo The Come Up. The Come Up is composed of Franchise and Vinny Radio whom are also part of Pittsburgh hip-hop collective The 58s. Fran and Vin have worked with Mac for years now (dating back to the days of The East End Empire) and it's great that Mac still makes them a part of what he is doing. Not only is he bringing friends on tour but he also makes it known when new Pittsburgh music and visuals are released. It's amazing that not only have 2 artist from Pittsburgh become wildly successful but when you see them you can name majority of their friends with them. Wiz has Taylor Gang with Sledgren, Chevy, Lonnie, Breezo, Motor and more while Mac has Most Dope consisting of Sweet James, Willy Whips, Q, Tree J, Palermo, Bill and a few others. All of this ties into what this post is really about, I promise.
Over the past day or so you've probably seen Mac tweet #WhoIsDylanReynolds, in fact it was the #1 trend on twitter, and you've probably been wondering what exactly Mac has been talking about. Well the video below will learn you on who the newest Most Dope member is. Hats off to Mac for not only remembering where he came from but also who was there with him.
We're hittin you on some quick strike shit outta no where kid. These designs may seem familiar but we've flipped the script. You saw the Holy Can last summer but we added a little more flavor to it. As far as the second design, I'm sure you all know the East Liberty Crow but we're switched it up again a little more. The crow has a little more color and fills the shirt up way more. These are some exclusive dips you NEED to get your hands on. They're available now in store and online here!
For this 4/20 we are doing a few big things. We have a crazy mixtape coming out AND we will also be releasing these limited edition tee's! Homegrown Oufitters is a quick growing brand from San Francisco who we've been fuckin with since 2009. They are repped heavily by The Come Up (Franchise and Vinny Radio) and The Soul Vibe so you know it's official. We're bombin these tee's on 4/20 and you really don't wanna miss out on some legendary shit like this! They'll be available in the store and online here!
If you're unaware Tru Jeenyis, a rapper from Pittsburgh who now goes to school at Slippery Rock University, is dropping his 3rd project "The Enlightenment" next Sunday April 22nd. "The Enlightenment" is Tru's first Fralbum and has a few awesome features on it as well. Check out some of his other work until next Sunday!
iStandard is coming back to the Burgh! Returning with iStandard is legendary producer Buckwild whom will be judging along side of J Fish and Rsonist. The event will be going on Tuesday May 1st and Wednesday May 2nd. Diesel is the venue and doors will be opening at 8:30 with performances starting at 9:30 followed by networking. It's $15 dollars at the door or $20 for both nights. You can order your tickets in advance here! It's a 21 and over event so have your ID's ready and don't forget to dress neat. Featured producers for the first night are Basement and Hit Project Inc followed by IPH and Premise the next night. Along with all of that Beedie, Hubbs, B White and Jay Mel will be performing on Tuesday. Wednesday Nico The Beast, Real Deal, Devine Seven and Worth Whyle will be performing.
On April 30th The Come Up, comprised of Franchise and Vinny Radio, will release their debut album for free download. The BrandUn DeShay produced track "Bouties" is one for the females posing a question to girls around the world if their really bout it. Be on the lookout for a few new songs coming before the album drops. Follow The Come Up on Twitter @TheComeUpBoys@412sFranchise@Vinnyradio.
You haven't noticed yet today is April 12th. The 12th day of the 4th month or 412 day. Given today's date Palermo decided to drop a gem over another Aus10 production titled "$!@". If you are questioning the titled of the track you need to hold the shift key down and type a 4 then a 1 and finally a 2. Get it? Dope.
Proph finally got datpiff to work so he could his new tape up lol "The 4.12 Project" was inspired by the city he resides along with some smoke. Dude's young but he has a world of potential. I highly recommend check this tape out. The first actual track "Living Legend" is already my favorite track. Also peep that cover closely. You already know where that flick was taken at.

Pittsburgh, Pa- Blasfome completes its spring 2012 collection with the release of their Spring 2012 Delivery 2 Lookbook. This season's second delivery continues to dive further into the automotive racing and Japanese designs found in the first delivery, with a visit from a few Blasfome classics and new accessories.
"We wanted to bring classic Blasfome designs onto several new pieces. We started by Introducing the mesh-back trucker hat, and incorporated our popular Blasfome Wreath into a patch design." States Blasfome owner Dave Bartek.
Spring 2 features the introduction of the Blasfome Wreath Mesh-back Trucker hat, the Blasfome Wreath Tee in Navy, and the Let There Be Light Tee inspired by Japanese Cinema posters. Also new to the collection is the Rough on Rats design.
Dave explains this design further, "The Rough on Rats design is one of my favorites in the collection. Its a play on 50's advertising artwork."
The Rough on Rats design can be found printed on red cotton tees, and white cotton tank tops fresh for the Spring season. Rounding out the collection is the No Trend Riding tank top printed on Black cotton tanks (not pictured) which we were introduced to last season.
