Statik Selektah Meet and Greet

First off I'd like to give a big shout out, on behalf of myself and my Time Bomb family, to everyone who came out to meet Statik and to support us.  We hope you all had a good time because we did.  It was a very successful in store appearance and we left a good impression on Statik; I think we'll see him in Pittsburgh again very soon.  Here are some photo's from the in store.  Don't forget to cop the new Statik Selektah album, "Population Control", too.

The Sound (prod. Shade Cobain) [Varsity Squad]

After a year and a half in the works Pittsburgh’s super-duo Varsity Squad, consisting of emcees Beedie and Jon Quest, are ready to unleash their debut group-effort to the world entitled New School Boom. They decided to release this first song as a holiday treat to get you ready for the New Year and their February 7th release date. Shade Cobain laces a head-knocking beat and Varsity Squad flex their not just their lyrical skills but also their songwriting ability. The track features cuts from DJ Vex & additional keys and guitar from Beedie.

To go along with the album release they have collaborated with streetwear brand Man Cave Clothing to create an exclusive Crewneck design, complete in 2 different color schemes: classic Black on Heather Grey, and the Pittsburgh edition Yellow on Black. Ain't No Grave [Tru Jeenyis]

In anticipation of "The Enlightenment" Tru Jeenyis has been dropping singles and videos to build some hype.  The latest song he dropped was "Ain't No Grave" which will be on the upcoming album.  The vocal sample at the beginning really brings the song together with the chains in the back.  Jeenyis and the Jinx beat compliment each other perfectly.  Check it out. Can I Kick It [Proph]

Statik Selektah December 28th!

We (Time Bomb) have Statik Selektah coming to Pittsburgh in 2 days.  There will be a meet and greet at the store (200 S Highland Ave Pittsburgh Pa 15206) from 4- 5:30 followed by a 21+ party at AVA from 10 pm to 2am.  Statik will be spinning at AVA along with Outtareach and Dj Bamboo.  If you're an upcoming artist then this is the perfect opportunity to meet an establish dj and producer and maybe give him some music. Our girl Shira just made her way back to the states and is launching her rap career.  This video will definitely be your favorite pastry rap song.  Fun fact: Shira was one of the first dancers for Wiz back in the day.
